Lee Bay contains a pretty village where fuchsia plants grow wild.
A very narrow scenic road brings you from Woody Bay to Lee Bay. Another very attractive bay with rocks to climb and a sandy/shingle beach to play on. However bathers should beware of strong currents. Car parking is in a field near the bay and there are some facilities.

A wonderfully secluded beach, Lee Bay lies hidden below
the magnificent Lee Abbey, on the Exmoor coast. Historic lime kilns and
the monk's chapel give character and mystery and the beach itself is
rocky, with shingle and some sand at low tide.

The sign reads 'On this spot 1st April 1780 nothing happened'
Just west of Lee at Damage Hue, where there was once a golf course. On the top of the hill was a flagstaff and also a cannon which was fired on festive occasions.

Lee Bay
Lee Bay is a small, rocky and sheltered bathing beach, popular with visitors to Lynton and Lynmouth. It is part of the Lee Abbey estate and there is a charge for the toll road and car park. There are toilets, a tea garden in season and an unusual chapel in a former lime kiln.
