is a scattered village in the Brendon
Hills with a 19th century church replacing the now abandoned building.
The gardens of Bittescombe Manor are sometimes opened in aid of charity.
Upton: wooded hamlet south of the Brendon Hills on the eastern edge of Exmoor and within walking distance of v Lake (sailing, reservoir trout fishing). Dunster and coast 12-15 miles.
